We were deeply saddened to hear of the death of Lord Snowdon on the 13th January.
His pioneering work in the 1970s changed attitudes towards disabled people – promoting ownership of their own lives and decisions, equal opportunities and rights. In 1981 he launched the International Year of Disabled People.
Lord Snowdon was Patron of Phab for nearly 50 years and supported passionately our work of changing the lives of people with disabilities for the better.
We send our condolences and deepest sympathy to Lord Snowdon’s family. Our thoughts and prayers are with them at this very sad time.
John Corless OBE, Chairman of Phab
