The Charity

Phab inspires and supports children and adults with and without disabilities to make more of life together. In 2017 we will be celebrating 60 years of Phab!

What Phab Does

Phab creates opportunities for children and adults of all abilities to enjoy life together by …
  • Supporting a network of around 180 clubs throughout England and Wales for all age-ranges, offering activities and holidays which members can share and enjoy together.
  • Promoting and encouraging self-confidence and independence in young people of all abilities through a range of diverse projects.
  • Funding special residential breaks – inclusive experiences for disabled and non-disabled children and young people to share in a full range of adventurous outdoor activities at fully accessible activity centres offering specialist tuition.
  • Providing specially equipped and fully accessible holiday units at an award-winning beach site in Dorset at affordable weekly rates.
  • Organising national and regional events for Phab club members and supporters to enjoy together and to promote the Phab philosophy of inclusion.

Supported By - Portrait BBC Children in Need have once again supported our Residential Projects program with a very generous grant of £35,000.  This much-needed grant has enabled us to welcome even more children and young people to our Projects this year and we thank Pudsey, BBC Children in Need and all their supporters for helping us to give these children such a very special time away with Phab.
BLF logo small black WDSA_revised_logo Big Lottery Fund Awards for All have made a grant of £9,940 to Phab for an exciting new project – the Hearts and Wheels Project – which we will be delivering with the Wheelchair Dance Sport Association (UK).  This new project will introduce wheelchair dance sport to Phab Clubs and other community organisations in the South East and Greater London areas over the coming year, whilst enabling us to develop our partnership with Wheelchair Dance Sport Association (UK) and hopefully expand the opportunity  to other regions in the future.  We are most grateful to the Big Lottery Fund for supporting the project and look forward to working with Wheelchair Dance Sport Association (UK) to deliver it.
Garfield Weston logo 8c058c62-9e08-4f9d-bd18-dbaa8ea33cbf                   The Garfield Weston Foundation has made a very generous donation of £10,000 towards Phab's core work. We are most grateful to the Foundation for supporting once again all that we do at Phab.
