The Hampton Court Palace Half Marathon is special for starting and finishing inside the historic Tudor palace grounds, offering a rare, flat, and scenic route along the River Thames. It is the only half marathon held at this royal venue, featuring themed medals, Henry VIII impersonators, and free post-race entry to the palace gardens. 

What are the highlights? 

  • One of the most picturesque half marathons in the UK, starting and finishing within the grounds of Henry VIII’s historic palace. 
  • It’s a flat, fast, and scenic 13.1-mile route through Thames towpaths and local countryside, with the final 4km through Home Park, surrounded by beautiful royal parkland. 
  • Enjoy live music, choirs, and high-energy support along the route. 
  • Collect your regal medal at the finish and enjoy a photo opportunity with Henry VIII. 
  • Explore the grounds after the race with free entry to the palace gardens.
