Brighton Marathon: 4 April 2027

Enjoy a scenic coastal course and lively atmosphere, with Beach Village celebrations at the finish!  Experience the diverse, welcoming, and vibrant culture of Brighton for the weekend.

Oh I do like to be beside the seaside…

As the UK’s third-largest marathon (with over 15,000 participants in 2025), Brighton Marathon is considered a must-do event for those looking for a major city race outside of London.

Due to its fast, mostly flat, scenic coastal course and lively atmosphere, it appeals to both elite and amateur runners.

The route takes in landmarks that include the Royal Pavilion and Brighton Palace Pier with an atmospheric finish on Madeira Drive, right on the seafront, where a lively Beach Village awaits runners to celebrate.

What are the highlights?

  • The perfect weekend escape – wrap your race up with a trip that celebrates the diverse, welcoming, and vibrant culture of Brighton.
  • The marathon route passes iconic landmarks like the Royal Pavilion and Brighton Pier before featuring extensive stretches along the coast to Hove.
  • Known for energetic, loud crowds and a celebratory, carnival-like feel, an electric atmosphere is guaranteed.
  • It’s another flat and fast route making it ideal for setting PBs.
