Hello to all you wonderful Phabbers – and welcome to 2026 with Phab!
We are absolutely buzzing to begin another incredible year packed with adventure, laughter and connection. A year of meeting friends old and new, trying new experiences together and continuing to learn, thrive and belong as one Phab community.
Mik, myself and our brilliant team at Phab HQ have been out meeting you, listening to you and shaping plans around what you have told us you want from 2026. And one thing is crystal clear – everyone wants to have fun, take part, make friends and feel included. You are what makes Phab… Phab!
This year we’re turning up the excitement with even more Phab Adventure Days. Get ready for Flying Days, Indoor Snow Days, Speed Boat Days, Farm Days, Lake Days and – for the very first time – a Phab Fishing Day! Keep your eyes on your emails and our social channels for all the latest details.
We also have our much-loved Phab Adventure Holidays returning to Bendrigg Trust in Cumbria and Avon Tyrrell in Hampshire. We can’t wait to be back enjoying everything these amazing places have to offer – climbing, canoeing, caving, sailing, zip wires, archery, bushcraft, arts and crafts, singing, dancing and plenty of partying! Add in beautiful walks in nature, cosy campfires, delicious food and lots of social time with friends and volunteers, and you’ve got Phab magic at its very best.
This summer, Phab will be popping up at two fantastic events: Parallel Windsor and Warrington Disability Awareness Day. Come along, join the fun and celebrate inclusion with us. At Parallel Windsor, you can even take part in inclusive challenge events and raise funds for your own Phab Club.
Mik Scarlet and his team at Phab ACTS will also be travelling far and wide this year, visiting Clubs to talk about the Social Model of Disability and why it matters. Would you like Mik to come to your Club? Get in touch and let’s make it happen.
To help keep costs down and give you more choice than ever, our incredible fundraisers will be taking on challenge events throughout the year – including the world-famous London Marathon. We’ll be cheering them on every step of the way as they pour their heart and soul into raising funds for Phab. We are so grateful to every single person who supports us to bring you more adventures and events.
The Phab Idea Award 2026 will be open to all Phab Clubs and community members. Got a brilliant idea? You could win £1,000 for your Club! Watch this space – details coming soon.
And how does this sound to finish the year… lights, cameras, action!
In November, we’ll be in Bournemouth for the Phab Fun Weekend, where we’ll also be filming the Phab Awards Show live. It’s just like stepping into a TV studio, and you could be part of it! Our camera crew are all volunteers who also work at the BBC and in the film industry, and there will be opportunities for you to get involved both on and off camera.
