“I wanted to create a bit of a cause and a bit of a journey, both for myself, but also for Phab, who I ran for.”
This year, one of our amazing runners, Dan Hall, took on an extraordinary challenge, 50 races in a year, finishing with the London Marathon as number 50.
Dan has been part of the Phab community for years, after his daughter Isla, who has Down syndrome, benefited from joining us on our Phab Adventures. Taking on this challenge was his way of giving back.

From 5Ks to marathons, road to trail, Dan’s journey took him all over the country. Along the way, he discovered new races, new communities, and a whole new side to running, all while balancing family life and a full-time job.
And when it came to race number 50, the London Marathon, it wasn’t just another finish line. It was a moment to take it all in, seeing Phab supporters out on the course, spotting his family when it mattered most, and reflecting on everything he’d achieved over the year.

Throughout his challenge, Dan brought people with him – sharing his story, raising funds for Phab, and showing the real impact of inclusive opportunities.
We’re so proud to have been part of his journey. Hear Dan share his story on the Sapphire Running Zone podcast.
