Phab ACTS – Stand by for ACT(S)ion!
It’s been all go since Phab Access Consultancy and Training Services (Phab ACTS) officially began back in March. This new element of the work Phab central does aims to spread knowledge around creating an accessible inclusive society and bringing in new funds for Phab Central and our family of Phab Clubs and affiliates, as well as offering free fun and easy to understand training around disability equality to our clubs.
Our first major client has been Chilterns National Landscapes, as they push forward with a three-year project to open up the Chiltern Hills to everyone. Mik and two of his team of access experts, Libby and Yoni, have visited farms and nature reserves throughout the area, supporting them to be able to welcome disabled people to experience the countryside.
In May, Mik went to Edinburgh to begin another three-year project with the access information website and charity, Euans Guide. Mik will be supporting Euans Guide as they grow and expand their team for a major project, details of which will be announced soon. Mik also filmed some video guides of how to review a venue for Euans Guide which will be online soon. Euans Guide are always looking for new people to send in their reviews, and you can get involved by visiting their website.
We’re signing up with some other major clients, but we can’t say much more right now. But don't forget, if your club or group brings a client into Phab ACTS, or gives us a great lead, we split the profit from the engagement. So get out there and spread the word!
